DJ Hertz
DJ Hertz, also known by his real name Franck Sinnassamy, is a versatile French artist whose career spans several areas of music. As the founder of the independent label Scratch Science, DJ Hertz has created groundbreaking records designed for turntablists, including the Grasshopper Breaks series and Enter The Scratch Game. Scratch Science has earned a worldwide reputation, and its releases have had a major impact on the scratch community. DJ Hertz is also a member of 9 O’Clock, a French turntablist crew. Together, they won the DMC (Disco Mix Club) World Championship three years in a row in 2013, 2014 and 2015. Their technical mastery and creativity have made them key references in turntablism. 9 O’Clock have also played at festivals and even performed at the Stade de France, opening the French League Cup final. In parallel, Franck Sinnassamy is a prolific composer. He writes original music with his group and collaborates with artists such as Beat Assaillant, Quinze and Haji. 9 O’Clock have also composed several commercial scores, including a TV spot for Ligue 1. His work has been praised by his peers and earned him the prestigious Mark Award. His own compositions, in partnership with publisher Parigo Music, have been used in numerous series, including Blood, Sex & Royalty, Captain Fall and Ctrl Z. DJ Hertz has a knack for crafting captivating soundscapes that blend seamlessly with visual productions.
