F.Stokes

F. Stokes (Rodney Lucas) is a rapper and storyteller from Chicago’s South Side. His music blends hip-hop, spoken word and soul influences, with highly narrative lyrics inspired by his personal history and his travels. He has shared stages around the world with Nas, Mos Def, Pusha T, Sean P, Bastille, Erykah Badu, P.O.S., Ryan Leslie, Stalley, Redman and DMX, and has performed at festivals such as the Montreal International Jazz Festival, the Essence Festival, VooDoo Festival, Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival and Summer Set Festival. F. Stokes’ lyrical work focuses on the triumph of human possibility, and he is currently developing “Rappin’ Ricky”, a project to create a young animated rapper who uses hip-hop as an educational tool to inspire children of all ages and backgrounds.
