Gerz Marcellino

DJ Gero (Gerz), real name Géraud Loubeyre, is a French DJ, turntablist and graffiti artist from Maisons-Alfort. A key figure in the early-2000s DMC scene, he became French DMC champion in 2003 and 2004 and went on to represent France at the world finals in London. Blending hip-hop, electro and club music, he has performed across France and abroad, sharing stages with artists such as J Dilla, Kid Koala, La Caution and Wiz Khalifa. A prolific producer, he has released several mixtapes and projects (Welcome, Sport Elek Trop Beat, French Poyz, etc.) and co-founded the Poyz & Pirlz universe, sitting at the crossroads of street culture, fashion and hip-hop compilations. Under the alias Gerz, he also develops his work as a graffiti and visual artist within various crews, extending his aesthetic vocabulary across both sound and image through new musical and graphic projects.
