José Miguel Ortegón, better known as “Sr Ortegon”, is an independent producer and composer from Cali, Colombia. Renowned for his work in production music, he has been nominated for a Latin Grammy and has won a prestigious Mark Award. A distinguished member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (Emmys), he is a leading figure in music production on an international scale. For over two decades, Sr Ortegon has been creating music tailored to the needs of film, television, video games and advertising. His work features in many top production-music libraries, cementing his reputation as a reference point in the world of music for picture. With more than 200 sync credits to his name, he has contributed to major projects such as Cobra Kai, Terminator: Salvation, Rambo: Last Blood, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (Oscar winner), Lady Bird (Oscar-nominated), Mechanic: Resurrection, and the cult series The Simpsons, among many others. Drawing inspiration from his travels across Europe and Latin America, Sr Ortegon infuses his music with a unique blend of styles.
