Well Quartet
Founded in 2012, WELL Quartet is a string quartet made up of four talented musicians with singular backgrounds, exploring an infinite range of musical styles. They move with ease between classical music, rock, jazz, chanson, traditional music and contemporary repertoire. Arrangers and composers, WELL Quartet also offer to perform and/or write arrangements and original works (for strings, symphony orchestra, etc.) to enhance an album or a film score. All four are singers (lead and backing vocals) in various projects and make full use of their voices both in the studio and on stage.Together or individually, they have collaborated with many artists, including: Imany, Cabadzi, JB Dunckel (Air), Canine, Fred Radix (Le Siffleur), Michel Pinhero’s African Salsa Orchestra, Thibaud Defever (Presque Oui), Emel Mathlouthi, Orchestre Orage (Uèle Lamore), Lionne, Les Enfoirés, Médéric Collignon, Mokawoods, Nina Attal, Smos (feat. Charles Pasi), Monica Passos, Titi Robin, Nico Dri, Monsieur Pierre, Lucrèce Sassella, Antoine Sahler, The Airplane, Isma Hill, Kristo Numpuby, Caroline Loeb, Syd Kult, Ellinoa & the Wanderlust Orchestra, Gino Sitson, Tom Poisson, Kyrie Kristmanson, Chapelier Fou…They regularly lend their strings to recording sessions for film music (e.g. the film Qanis by Reda Mustafa, scored by Loïc Ouaret) and theatre (Françoise par Sagan, directed by Alex Lutz with Caroline Loeb; Le Siffleur by Fred Radix, etc.). On stage, the quartet performs frequently in France and abroad: Paris Jazz Festival, Canton Jazz Festival, Shenzhen International Jazz Festival, Changsha International Jazz Festival, Tempo Latino, and more. Each member of the quartet also regularly performs as a soloist, in duo or in trio formations.
